I have extensive experience teaching English to non-native English speakers, and have given one-on-one tutoring to students from China, Japan, South Korea, India, The Philippines, Saudi Arabia, , The Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Mexico, Hungary, Bulgaria, Poland, Columbia and others. I specialize in helping people to reduce their native accents and clean up grammar mistakes, to be better understood in conversations, help with job interviews, business writing and speaking presentations. I also teach conversational Spanish. I am fluent in Spanish, lived in Mexico, and have years of experience tutoring Spanish as well as English. I graduaded from Southern Methodist University with a B. F. A. in Fine Arts and have a background in broadcasting.
Experience
My many years of teaching people from countries all over the world, combined with my own stuggles of learning a foreign language has helped me to become a more compassionate, patient and understanding teacher. Lots of real world conversation and practice can be as important as book exercises.
