Experience
I have four years tutoring college students with focus on chemistry, but also covering topics as diverse as calculus, electronics, and even biology. I've also given private tutoring to high school students in chemistry. SAT Math: 720 SAT Verbal: 690 GRE Quantitative: 164 (88th percentile) GRE Verbal: 162 (90th percentile) GRE Writing: 5.0 (93rd percentile) I am very passionate about teaching. Sharing my knowledge and inspiring the next generation's scientists, engineers, and doctors gives me a profound sense of fulfillment. While the classroom setting is an effective place for this, I prefer the one-on-one experience of tutoring, since I can get a much deeper understanding of my student's individual talents and troubles and tailor my explanations to suit them. I spend extra time on concepts that give them great difficulty while skimming over materials that they pick up quickly. I am passionate about learning and do my best to instill that passion into my students by tying in interesting relevant facts and real-world applications whenever possible.
