Hello! My name is Nicole, and I am a Biomedical Sciences major at UCF. I received my A.A. from Valencia community college in 2014 and graduated on the deans list before transferring to UCF. I have been a DANB certified dental assistant with my expanded functions since 2010. I plan to earn a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences and concentrate in research, to then eventually teach at a University.
Experience
Two years of tutoring experience. I currently tutor UCF and Valencia students in various subjects. I'm very passionate about tutoring, and my main job is to make sure that the student is presented with material in a way that makes sense to them. I thoroughly enjoy teaching people and am always so happy to know that I have helped so many people achieve their goals. I love to help people and enjoy providin students with the required skills and strategies to become successful in their courses and also their careers. I am a very friendly and professional mentor that can provide supplemental instruction for coursework and help students stay organized and prioritize their responsibilities and necessary tasks. Learning is extraordinary and I like to help students understand new concepts and ideas in an engaging way to overcome anxiety and accept them as challenges instead of problems. The material is important, but the students understanding and perspective of the material is just as important, and I help the student make that connection that they might not be able to in a classroom.

If I am not studying for my own classes or helping other people study for theirs, I am often spending time at home relaxing or reading. For my own personal enjoyment, I really enjoy drawing and writing, or pretty much anything creative and artistic. I love animals, and have a true passion in organic chemistry.
