Experience

I am a professional engineer with degrees in Civil and Construction Engineering from the University of Florida and significant hands-on professional experience. I enjoy providing interactive, visual learning experiences in Science and Math subjects for students across a range of ages and grade levels. My teaching strategy begins with breaking material down into manageable pieces with measurable results and offering positive feedback. I also find it important to understand each student's specific processes and to create lesson plans and adapt presentations as necessary to maximize effectiveness on a student by student basis. When I'm not engineering or tutoring, I like to get outdoors and get active. Some of my favorite outdoor activities include working in my yard and playing with my dog.
