There will never be two minds that work or learn exactly the same. I learned this tutoring youth over the past six years. I discovered that a method that works perfectly fine for one person may not work for another. There is no one-size-fits-all method of tutoring. My goal is to discover my student's learning style, and then help them overcome their struggles by making the subject matter click. I attended the University of Florida and majored in Sociology. My focus was on youth. After volunteering with an organization called Youth for Christ, I realized that tutoring youth is a tremendous joy. I also volunteered to tutor students who have experienced a brush with the law.My goal was to help students understand specific concepts, and why understanding any concept is important. I love tutoring and helping others gain confidence. When students struggle in school, a feeling of shame often accompanies their lack of self-confidence. Once students fully understand the source of their struggles, they can more easily improve their grades and regain their confidence. I love being the person that helps inspire them to overcome their difficulties. Then, they can draw from their confidence throughout a lifetime. Confidence gives them a platform to build a better life.
