Experience
Through a program called City Year, I was a tutor in an 8th grade English Language Arts class for a full school year. One of the main components we worked on was reading comprehension to prepare for the FSA. We also used graphic organizers in preparation for writing essays. Some other areas we worked on were vocabulary, grammar, and fluency. I also taught Creative Writing skills to a class of middle school students for three months. I taught the elements of narrative writing and I had them compose a story by the end of the quarter.

Hobbies
I love to read and write. If time wasn't an obstacle, I would read at least a book a week. I am also currently working on my writing skills as I plan on obtaining my MFA in Creative Writing in a few years.
