Daniel H.
Private tutor in Orlando, FL
Education
Current Film Student at the University of Central Florida
Experience
I have worked as a teacher for two years in an ESL environment in Honduras. I have taught anything from English to Art to PE, mostly to elementary age students. I pride myself with an ability to stay patient, active, and encouraging. I believe learning should be made enjoyable at a young age. Reading should be an adventure. Math should be stimulating. Music should be emotional. I have a large amount of experience with kids who are struggling in class and out, whether it is behavioral problems, ADD, ADHD, and occasionally dyslexia, and I enjoy the challenge of helping students through difficult subjects. I struggled with ADD myself as a child. I know what it is like to battle through certain classes, and I also know how great it feels to prevail in the end. I want to be a tutor because I want to give the same help that was once given to me.

Hobbies
I consider myself to be a very artistic person. I sketch. I paint. I play the guitar. I sing. I am also very fond of a good book. I am a film student, which means I spend quite a bit of time watching and studying films. I have currently come into the habit of collecting vinyl records. I am a jazz fan. I write on occasions. I try to stay active in sports and other forms of exercise. I am fluent in both English and Spanish. And last but not least, I enjoy teaching.
