I may have a bachelor's degree in English but I have taken college algebra, calculus 1, 2, and 3, trigonometry, differential equations, and linear algebra at Valencia College with a 4.0 GPA. I took AP Calculus when I was in high school and earned a passing score on the test. I graduated from Nova Southeastern University in 2005 with a degree in English. I started working in the math department at a local university and decided to go to Valencia College to increase my math knowledge. I took almost every math class they offer just for the fun of it!
Experience
I taught math at a local university for eight years. I'm now in the ESL department and I miss talking about math. I really enjoy explaining math to students and I would love to try to help you understand it better. I used University Tutor several years ago to offer my services, but my work schedule constantly changed and it was difficult to consistently meet with students. I now have a set 9 to 5 schedule so I'm ready to share my love of math with you. I don't have children, so I'm not 100% certain what is taught in each grade level, but I am certain I can figure out what you need to learn.
