Experience
I'm a private tutor for Chinese/Mandarin and Spanish. I mostly teach conversational Mandarin and Spanish, however, I am also able to teach some beginner writing (grammar) and reading as well. I have a multicultural background, born in the Dominican Republic and lived in Ecuador, Honduras, Panama, Taiwan and the U.S.A. Through all this traveling, I have acquired multiple learning and teaching methods for non native Spanish and Mandarin speakers. I have experience teaching young children from age 3-5 at the Chinese School of Central Florida. I utilized a fun yet challenging environment for a more effective learning experience. Some of the activities utilized in the class included dancing and singing (learning Chinese through plays and presentations) and also by only speaking to children in Mandarin. I believe children learn faster when it comes to them naturally and when they're having fun. I also have 3 years' experience teaching conversational Spanish and Mandarin to adults from 25-35 years old. Most of the time I bring students to different environments and accompany them to do different activities together to expose them to new vocabularies and new conversational skills. In addition to languages, I also teach Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and In Design CS5. I have 3 Technical Certificates for: Interactive Design Support, Graphics Design production, and Graphics Design Support. For the technical/art field, I have 1 year of experience tutoring college students (age ranging from 18-25). I utilize tutorials, practice activities and flash cards to help the student understand technical terms and apply the knowledge by working on their own creative projects. Overall, I adjust the teachings according to the student's learning method: visual, auditory, and kinesthetic. I truly believe every student has the potential to learn anything as long as they are given the material in the most natural way for them to perceive. Although I encourage students to learn in a fun environment, I also keep in mind the importance of following guidelines and deadlines to make the learning process more efficient.

Hobbies
I'm a very diverse person due to my multicultural background. I enjoy playing the piano, drawing/designing, cooking and baking, playing sports (such as basketball, swimming, wake boarding, martial arts), writing and creating things. I try to experience life as much as I can when given the opportunity.
