I graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Spanish from the University of Miami. I earned a minor in French and also studied Portuguese and Italian. I did a semester abroad in Santiago, Chile. While in college I was a Spanish and French tutor for the university.
Experience
I taught high school Spanish for nine years at a local private school. The classes I taught most frequently were Spanish III Honors and AP Spanish. I tutored athletes in college as well as high school students before I went into teaching. I've taught all levels of Spanish, so I'm able to adapt to any class you are taking as well as the level you are at. In order to best help you with what you are working on, I can provide you with worksheets, practice tests, online activities, etc. I am patient and skilled at explaining concepts in different ways until you understand them. I also teach adults, so if you are interested in learning Spanish from the beginning, continuing to build on previous knowledge, or learning Spanish for professional reasons, I'd love to work with you! I personalize lessons according to each person's level, abilities, and what they want to achieve.
