First, a tutor needs to accurately diagnose the exact reason you are having problems with the material. Until the problem has been identified, there is little hope of finding a solution. Second, the tutor must thoroughly understand their subject matter because without a deep understanding they cannot identify faulty logic. As a seasoned tutor and graduate of the University of Illinois College of Engineering (U.S. News and World Report Top 5 Engineering Schools), I take a multifaceted approach to problem solving which allows me to simplify the issue and help students improve their problem solving technique. I have successfully tutored students in a range of subjects, including Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, Statistics, Physics, and Chemistry. My tried and tested method helps students receive higher scores on their exams. I have also helped students prepare for the SAT and ACT. I believe the right tutor and techniques can help any student succeed in the classroom. It is simply a matter of understanding the student's learning pattern.
