I’m a student at the University of Central Florida studying Mechanical Engineering with a minor in International Engineering. I have been tutoring independently for a year in subjects including Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus I, Algebra-based Physics and Calculus-based Physics. I have received high grades in all my math and physics classes, and I have taken many of those classes recently, so the material is fresh in my mind. The engineering curriculum requires students to have strong math skills since those courses involve solving complicated problems based in math. I still use much of what I learned in classes such as Algebra and Calculus in the courses that I am currently taking. I am not just able to solve math problems, but I've reached the point in which I'm able to pass on my knowledge to others. Since I am a student myself, I understand the problems students encounter and adapt to their individual learning styles. I can connect with students who are reluctant to work with teachers and prefer someone who is taking classes just like them. I’ve also developed great study skills, time management abilities and effective organization techniques that I’ve used to succeed in my own academic career.
