As a young student, I absolutely hated standardized tests. So much so, in fact, that I once skipped an entire test section because I was too bored. I couldn't focus on the material. Luckily, as I got older, I learned how to focus and got good at understanding the test formats and questions. Specifically, I got really good at and interested in literature and grammar. Now I am a musical theatre actor who also has a passion for tutoring and teaching. I especially love helping on standardized tests and English. The most important part of teaching for me is helping people exceed and reach their goals. My student's success is of the utmost importance to me. My tutoring style is one that can be described as relaxed. I believe that learning should be fun, so I strive to bring fun to each session. I believe that repetition is key as well and that the easiest way to remember something is to write it down. This method forces you to focus on the material because you cannot write without paying attention. I am looking forward to helping as many students as I can because I want to give back. When I am not tutoring or working, I can be found reading, playing Catan, and going to the movies.
