I'm a tutor who is based out of Orlando, Florida, where I enjoy reading, traveling, and spending time with my children when I'm not in the classroom working with students. I'm currently pursuing my PhD in reading education, and will be working with the reading department within the University of Central Florida's College of Education while studying. As a tutor, I'm able to provide my students with lessons in a variety of subject areas. Some of the lesson I've taught in the past have been in math, reading, English as a second language, and standardized test preparation, amongst other things. I believe in providing students who are struggling with targeted, individualized lesson plans that help them unlock their full potential. This allows students to have breakthroughs in subject areas that they've previously struggled with. I'm extremely passionate about working with students. I enjoy helping my students develop their critical thinking skills in addition to making progress in the class they came to me for help with. If I do my job right, my students will become lifelong, self-sustaining learners who are able to succeed academically, however they define that.
