I currently hold a master's degree in financial engineering. After completing my graduate program, I worked in finance for five years. While I enjoyed working in the field initially, I decided to make a career change after having a family. I'm now in the process of becoming a teacher. One of the reasons why I chose teaching is because I want to get the opportunity to leave a positive impact on the world. There's nothing greater than getting the chance to help a new generation of students prepare for academic and professional success. My areas of expertise are elementary math, algebra, English and English as a Second Language, and French. There's nothing more rewarding than having the opportunity to use my own skills and experiences to empower someone to do better. It's my goal to inspire my students to have the same love for learning that I have. I believe that everyone has the ability to be an excellent student when motivated by a teacher who's willing to go the extra mile to see them succeed. While teaching can be a little bit nerve-wracking at times, there's nothing I'd rather be doing more than standing in front of a classroom.
