I have a passion for math, science, and education. I have been tutoring middle school, high school, and college students for over 7 years. I scored a 5 on the AP Calculus BC exam, a 35 on the ACT and a 2100 combined on the SAT. In college, I excelled in many science courses including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Botany, Genetics, Physiology, Marine Biology, Conservation Biology, Ecology, Animal Behavior, Oceanography, Evolution, and Vertebrate Anatomy. After graduating college, I worked as an animal keeper and tour guide at an exotic animal rescue, interned at a wildlife rehabilitation center, and interned at a wildlife park doing educational shows. I am currently working part time as an animal nutrition specialist at a zoo. I believe that there is always something new to learn so I am constantly furthering my education through classes, internships and volunteer opportunities. My tutoring goal is to always instill an interest in the subject and an eagerness to learn. I approach problems and ideas from multiple angles to find the best method of learning for each student. Rather than just memorizing, students are actively learning and developing new skills. I apply math to real world situations to help students understand the relevance of math and how often we use it every day.
