Experience
While attending North Georgia College and State University, where I earned my degree in Spanish with a Business Emphasis, I was able to teach Spanish to many students through tutoring. At one point, I even had the opportunity to live at the Summer Language Institute, where I tutored students during a program that lasted six weeks and taught them a crash course in Spanish that normally would take a year to learn. I have been an assistant in the language lab and have helped fellow students with everything from their homework to preparing for oral speeches. I was asked to travel to Honduras in 2006, where I was able to learn from an international service trip. My hobbies include cooking, exercising, reading, and a few different sports. I feel that getting to know a different language is like tearing a puzzle apart on the floor and then putting it back together. As someone who wasn't born speaking Spanish, I feel I have a greater understanding of how to teach the language to others, which I feel gives me the tools and strategies I need to succeed. I have always been passionate about Spanish and the culture that goes along with it. I hope to hear from you soon and will enjoy helping you to master Spanish.
