helped family & friends while in college taught high school English Literature (regular & honors) for 3 years; 8th Grade ELA (2 years) freelance private tutoring in FCAT prep & English: 8th-college for 3 1/2 years; currently tutoring in middle school & high school English Literature & various areas of math as well as FCAT prep I love to tutor because I love to help people recognize their weakness and learn to overcome it, without excuses or mental reservation. This can be applied beyond a subject, but their life as well. I've taken various English classes in college, ranging from writing, different aspects of literature history, and I was also an Engineer major at UCF, taking 2 1/2 years of Engineering science, math: pre-Calculus, Engineering Calculus, and related classes I've helped my family with raising and "tutoring" 5 nephews from K-12, worked as a pre-school teacher for 3 1/2 years, my English, regular & honors, all had raised scores in FCAT at least a point or more, I've helped do well on their GED and obtain it.

Hobbies

I love working with people, young or old, and show them that if I can work with them, I am motivated and want to trigger the responsibility of achieving well in what they are required to do. I don't like excuses, but sometimes people hide their weaknesses in different ways. Almost any weakness can be worked on and turn into a managed skill, even if it doesn't become a strength. Overall, it's not about getting good grades, it's learning to admit to needing help, trying their hardest when to work on the very thing they don't like, and accomplishing better results through practice, commitment, and focus. Grades will always reflect that; and if they still need me and don't learn to work on their own after time, I've not done my job.
